Diamond City Park Renovations, Day 1

Saturday, April 13, 2013

Today brought the entire King's College women's soccer team and Mr. Bill Bolan from the Shoval Center for Community Engagement at King's to help clean up the park adjacent to DCP.  The group helped us remove 90+ bags of yard waste to help spruce up the park for the families in the neighborhood.   Our sincere thanks to Bill and the ladies!

Also, we did a lot of work fixing the busted plumbing in the clubhouse.  We didn't properly drain the pipes (lesson learned the hard way), so most of the day was spent doing this.  Additionally, we got the cutouts for first and second base of field #3 dug out and ready to go.  Raking was also done along the fence lines at DCP.

Thanks to Matt Morgan, Deidre Kling, John Mooney, Andy Peck, and some of the boys from the neighborhood for the help!
